    DEAR SIR
    I M SALARIED EMPLOYEE WITH 12LAC /YEAR INCOME
    MY ALL INVESTMENTS IN EQUITY MUTUAL FUNDS WITH NO FD/POST/FIXED INCOME

    BY PLEDGING MY EXISTING MUTUAL FUND HOLDING IF I AM GETTING LOAN AGAINST SECURITY
    AND INVEST IN MUTUAL FUNDS FOR LONG TIME
    IF I GET BENIFITS MORE THAN I PAY INTEREST ON LOAN
    THEN WHAT WILL BE MY TAX APPLICABLE ON INVESTMENTS DONE BY LOAN AGAINST SECURITY?

    No tax is payable on the sale of mutual funds if they are held for more than 1 year.

    Yes Akanksha is correct... it is exempt from being taxed
