    About Leveraged Finance, Corporate Banking

    The job purpose for this role - A member of CIB MO team covering the Leveraged Finance portfolio from a loan management perspective; Analytical Specialist dealing with a range of financial and loan related information for a large number of corporate and sponsor-owned companies located in the US, APAC and EMEA; Provide high-quality support to Credit Analysts and Asset Managers by ensuring that Companies in the portfolio comply with their reporting requirements and that this information is recorded and spread internally; Responsible for reviewing the financials and management information packs of companies in the portfolio (US GAAP, IFRS, unaudited accounts of US and EMEA based companies) and providing a summary of financial performance enabling the firm to assess performance across all leveraged finance loans in the portfolio.

    Main Duties and Responsibilities
    • Providing a summary analysis for the Credit team (US and UK) on our client’s quarterly financial reports comparing performance vs. budget and plan and previous quarters;
    • Interpret and analyse historic financial information to identify key issues and monitor compliance with covenants and terms prior to discussing with other internal stakeholders;
    • Use expertise and judgment to highlight deteriorating trends to Credit;
    • Identify potential risk of covenant breach and escalate/initiate discussions with internal stakeholders including Credit Officers in order to understand and address those risks;
    • Use knowledge of CIB MO procedures to make recommendations to Credit and other internal stakeholders on protecting the Group from losses and managing the portfolio
    • Own the day-to-day processing of financial reports for a number of Leveraged Finance companies;
    • Ensure Monthly, Quarterly and Annual financial reports and other information required under the loan agreement are effectively communicated in time to Barclays and recorded onto LISTT;
    • Responsible for collating and managing customer produced financial information
    • Ensure Companies in the portfolio complies with their covenants and closely monitor covenant ratios (using LISTT) at all time. Discuss customer breaches of covenants and terms with internal stakeholders and make recommendations/ initiate remedial actions;
    • Take ownership of urgent credit related matters such as reporting late management information and breaches;
    • Responsible for ensuring Internal procedures are followed;
    • Use understanding of legal documentation to ensure Loan agreement/facility documentation is correctly reflected into LISTT;
    • Undertake and adhere to all compliance regulations applicable to your role;
    • Liaise with the Head of the Asset Management and other member in the team providing feedback to enhance performance and value added by the Middle Office team; Strive to ensure output from the team are accurate and timely;
    • Attend team meetings and contribute to environment of mutual support by sharing knowledge with other team members;
    • Risk and Control Objective - Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Barclays Operational Risk Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Standards
    Requirements for the position of Senior Analyst – Leveraged Finance, Corporate Banking
    • Proficient with excel and strong numerical skills
    • Strong financial statements analysis skills
    • Prior experience in analysing management information, unaudited and audited accounts
    • Ability to take complete ownership of work and work with minimum supervision
    • Aptitude to work in a dynamic business environment, periodically requiring tight deadlines and aggressive turn-around time.
      Flexible with working in shifts
