    Job Description

    Accountant’s responsibilities include:

    • Ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), financial procedures and tax laws of international jurisdictions
    • Coordinating with local accounting firms, consultants and other stakeholders for book-keeping and statutory compliances of certain non-US Cerner entities
    • Serving as point of contact for internal and/or external clients and provide high quality service for multiple business units / legal entities. Educate clients/associates on policies, procedures and plans
    • Monthly books closing including bank, intercompany and other account reconciliations, prepaid amortization, fixed assets review and journal entries. Assisting with tax zone wise headcount reconciliation, intercompany funding workings and withholding tax (TDS) reasonability check
    • Analytical review of supplier invoices’ accounting to ensure accurate reporting/tracking of refundable taxes for multiple business units / legal entities
    • Preparing financial reports for a variety of audiences and updating financial information in Cerner systems
    • Assisting with audits and other general accounting matters

    Must have:

    • Chartered Accountancy (CA) degree with first attempt in clearing the final exams. Articleship training with a Big-4 preferred
    • Solid English communication skills - written and oral
    • Ability to communicate clearly and determine appropriate communication medium (e.g. phone, face-to-face meeting, e-mail, instant message, voicemail)
    • High attention to details, well organized, ability to handle large volume, ability to meet deadlines, ability to work overtime and/or irregular hours when needed
    • Solid customer service skills - requires interaction with associates, auditors, consultants and government authorities
    • Ability to contribute individually and collaborate in a team as necessary
    • General computer aptitude - this position requires high usage of PeopleSoft, Outlook and Excel

    Good to have:

    • PeopleSoft experience

    Chartered Accountancy (CA) degree with first attempt in clearing the final exams.
