    Hi
I had a query regarding applying for IT Returns

The investment declarations were provided to my company on December
Later in Feb i invested 10000 in LIC ,
Can i go ahead and claim for refund under 80 C ??
is it valid since there will be a discrepancy between form 16 and ITR
if its valid any supporting documents necessary ??

    Thanks in Advance

    Yes, it is valid.

In the income tax return, you can claim deduction for the amount invested by you which has not been declared to your employer.

The Income tax deptt will consider your case and issue you the income tax refund without any hassles.

  3. i agree with Gaurav kumar and in this case u need not filed supporting documents along with your R.O.I
u are required to produce supporting documents when the A.O will called in future
