Deduction of section 80DD for a Pensioner Dependent possible ?

    Can I avail deduction under section 80DD, for a totaly dependent parent who is a pensioner from Govt. Job ?

    If dependent father is paralysed ( whole right portion of body). What will be disability percentage ( 40% or more or 80% )

    Please go through the details once more :

    1. My mother (who got totally blind in FY 2014-15, lives with me and totally dependent) is a Retired Govt. Employee and getting her own pension.

    2. Amount spent by me, for her hospitalisation, medicines, maintenance is less than Rs. 1 Lakh in FY 2014-15.

    From the link refered by you, it seems that i can claim deduction of Full Rs. 1 lakh for the financial year 2014-15, even if amount spent by me is on the lesser side. Am i correct ?

    And shall i be able to claim this deduction u/s 80DD in upcoming FY's also ?
