    Hello Sir/Madam,

One of my client who is a doctor has a questions pertaining to deductions allowed under Form 16A. His employer gives form 16 for the salary besides he also has professional income which is separately declared under form 16A,

Could you pls let me know what are all the deductions allowed under Form 16A and whether his personal expenses being carried can be shown in the expense sheet, like baby's care taker for his child, driver fee, car maintenance, petrol expenses etc...

Your answer will help me in determining his tax outflow as well as to plan his investments accordingly....

His personal expenses are not allowed to be claimed as an expense.

Only expenses incurred for earning such an income are allowed to be claimed as an expense. Eg: Driver Fee, Telephone Expense etc
