Help regarding Long Term Capital Gains Tax

    Hi

    I bought a property in year 2010 for 35 lakhs . I am selling it this year for Rs 4o lakhs. How much LTCG tax i need to pay in this case . I havent done much improvment , but i may be paying some amount towards registration.

    The benefit of indexation would be available in this case.

    When we apply the indexation factor, the indexed cost comes out to be more than the sale price which would result in a capital loss instead of a capital gain.

    Do i need to pay any tax or not required .can i get some calculation spreadsheet for arriving at the indexation cost
