ICAI's new President K Raghu today said the number of students pursuing CA programme is on the rise.

Currently, ICAI has about 10 lakh students.

Raghu also said the institute is extending technical co-operation to countries like Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh for institutionalisation of accountancy profession.

"Talks regarding opening up of chapters in cities like Vancouver (Canada), Dar-E-Salam (Tanzania) is also in process," the institute said.
