    Dear Sir
    The medical expenses incurred for domiciliary treatment can be claimed under exemptions?
    Please advise

    It maybe allowed under certain circumstances. Kindly provide more details. What is the disease, the age, the amount of expense etc.

    Heart surgery underwent.Age 61years Rs40000 for medicines and consultation

    If you have health insurance, then you can not claim the deduction. Otherwise you can claim to the extent of 30,000 u/s 80D.

    Please clarify whether it is medical insurance or life insurance ?

    Of course, insurer will not reimburse domiciliary treatment expenses.
    Can I claim Rs30000/- including insurance premium paid u/s 80D
    Taking total exemption of Rs30000/-

    Some insurer do. Kindly read the policy related documents.
    You can only claim insurance premium u/s 80D to the extent of 30k
