Java utility for ITR filing

    Hi,

    For the current year AY 2014-15, I need to file ITR 4. However, on the tax filing portal the excel utility is not available. The JAVA utility is available.

    Does it mean that i have to wait till the ITD uploads the excel utility ? Or can I file by downloading the Java utility ? Is the Java utility complex to use ?

    Dear @Prabal

    Income Tax Dept has discontinued the Excel Utility and has launched the new Java utility in its place... I have used it and the new Java utility has some good features like direct upload form the utility without creating xml...

    You can go ahead and use this utility..
