There is a mismatch between income shown in 26AS and form 16 and so the TDS deductions as well?
My employer is taking time to take steps. What do I do?

    You should pay proper tax.
Is under form 16 full TDS has been shown? If ,yes, then claim this TDS (even when the same is not appearing in 26AS). The employer will need to revise the TDS return and when this will happen, you will automatically get credit of the tax deducted from your salary.

    Alternatively
You can pay tax out of your pocket (for the shortfall of TDS in 26AS and form 16) and thereafter claim refund of tax from govt. (when the employer will revise the return)
    2nd option is less troublesome.

Kindly note, for revision of income(if you file as per form 16 now and would like to revise your return on the basis of rectified form 16) , revised return would be required to be filed which can be done only if the return is filed within due date.

Rectification is an option for TDS. But if there is change in particulars of income then only revised return will be required to file.

Revised return would be required if you do not compute the income correctly.
