I AM A RETIRED PERSON, AND GETTING PENSION INCOME EVERY MONTH.
I WAS EMPLOYEE OF A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION. AND NOT OF STATE GOVT. OR CENTRAL GOVT.

    SUPPOSE,
I HAVE ALREADY INVESTED RS. 1,50,000 U/S 80 (C), FOR AVAILING DEDUCTION IN COMPUTING TOTAL INCOME.

NOW, I WANT TO GET OTHER ADDITIONAL DEDUCTIONS.

CAN I INVEST IN NATIONAL PENSION SCHEME (NPS) FOR AVAILING DEDUCTION IN ADDITION TO THE 80(C) AMOUNT OF RS. 1,50,000. ?

HOW MUCH CAN I INVEST MAXIMUM? AND HOW MUCH DEDUCTION CAN I GET ON THAT INVESTMENT ?

PLEASE, CONSIDER, I AM A RETIRED PERSON. NOT IN EMPLOYMENT NOW.

I dont think a retired person can invest in NPS because at that age he would be receiving pension and not paying for pension
